This is ridiculous. The board meeting tomorrow will be a no brainer. What kind of parent would want their children to read information designed to corrupt their brains? How can ya'll sleep at night? Your children diserve to grow up with clean pure minds. End this nonsense! Vote to ban the books!
Hey man that's my choice. I get to decide what my kids read, and I want my kids to be well rounded and educated. If you people keep banning books with things that you don't like there will be no books and no truth in the world. Every fact will be changed to offend no one, then there will be no more truth. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?
ReplyDeleteClean, pure minds? Well, since you're so inerested in sheltering us, you're also filling the school with the most boring, stupid books ever. The Autobiography of Ben Franklin? COME ON! TTTC is the most interesting book we've read all year. Do you want to make us hate school or what, man?
ReplyDeleteI wish my parents would have banned the book before I was forced to read it.
ReplyDeleteIt's not corrupting their brains. open your eyes man, smell a rose and look at the real world. Do you want me to take away your rights and freedom. because thats what your are doing to your kids you commie
ReplyDeleteBobo, I completely disagree and I feel it is my duty to defend Ashley. You get to decide what your kids read, but if some parents don't want their kids to read these books, which is the majority, it would be for the greater good to ban the books. Children will still find truth in the world but it is not the teachers role to teach the students that if some of the parents don't want it to be taught, another one of the teachers roles is to please the parents. BAN THE BOOK.
ReplyDeleteSmell a rose...I believe the correst saying is "wake up and smell smell the roses". Get it right. Quit smoking that dope.
ReplyDeleteAshley quit being such a commie. Plus why would we listen to a drunk like Elizabeth McAdams. She is so drunk i saw her fall down and pass out in the street. The Things They carried is a great book and the kids should have their choice as to what they read. The are seniors for gods sake.
ReplyDelete"It is not the teachers role to teach the students" - Sally James.
ReplyDeleteGood point why would teachers teach that's just unheard of.
Edna "smell smell" looks like I'm not the only one.
Saul, you totally took Sally's comment out of context.
